DESCRIPTION: Pocket watches- 2 (Two): Both pair case verge fusees, the first by Temple, London, gilt full plate movement with cylindrical pillars and pieced balance cock, sterling silver cases with London hallmark and date letter for 1787, Roman numeral white enamel dial, blued steel beetle and poker hands, the other by Vale & Comp. Coventry, gilt full plate movement with cylindrical pillars, pieced balance cock, and hack lever, gilt dust cap, sterling silver cases with Birmingham hallmark and date letter for 1814, Arabic numeral white enamel dial with small seconds and pierced spade hands, both watches with a number of 19th century watch papers from various New England repairers including H. Nutter, Stephen Willey, Jubal Howe, Geo. Ham, John Gooding, and others.
CONDITION: Watches not running, will tick if pressure is applied to fusee, Vale with broken fusee chain.
